Designed for panel mounting, this 70 Amp breaker features a thermally responsive bi-metal blade that trips to prevent damage during fault conditions. Its waterproof construction and ignition protection make it suitable for marine applications, including gasoline-powered boats, ensuring safety in harsh environments. The large, easy-to-operate lever allows vertical or horizontal indication of trip status, facilitating quick system assessment.
Constructed with a robust thermoset polyester case, the breaker meets SAE J1171 external ignition protection standards. It includes recessed mounting holes for a clean appearance and a self-trimming case that eliminates the need for additional mounting panels or bezels. The round case design permits straightforward installation using standard hole saws, while the large terminal clearance accommodates heavy gauge wire lugs for secure, high-torque connections. The trip-free design ensures the breaker cannot be held in the ON position during a fault, providing an additional safety layer.
Operating within a temperature range of -25°C to +82°C, the Blue Sea 7041 breaker is rated for a maximum voltage of 48V DC. It features a high interrupt rating of 5,000 Amperes at 12V DC, 3,000 Amperes at 24V DC, and 1,500 Amperes at 42V DC, making it suitable for demanding electrical systems.
