Description

8/2 AWG Duplex Cable - Flat Cable - Red/Black - 500

Duplex Boat Cable is used in low voltage AC applications as well as DC circuits. Pacer manufactures 8 AWG Duplex boat cable in house in the USA for the best quality. First, the cable is built from finely stranded, Type III tinned copper conductors. These conductors allow for flexibility and help to prevent corrosion.

The PVC jacket helps 8 AWG Duplex Boat Cable to be flexible while preventing moisture from accumulating. How does it do that During the extrusion process, the spaces between wires are filled. This leaves no space for moisture or air to accumulate. After that, a talcum powder coating is given to the interior wires. This coating is used to allow the outer jacket to be easily removed. Just another reason 8 AWG Duplex boat cable is perfect for marine use.

Pacers marine wire exceeds the requirements and standards of UL, ABYC, and NMMA.

The Pacer 8/2 AWG Duplex Flat Marine Cable is designed for reliable low voltage AC and DC power applications on boats and marine vessels. Crafted in the USA, this cable features finely stranded, Type III tinned copper conductors that provide excellent flexibility and corrosion resistance. The dual conductors are encased in a durable PVC jacket that remains flexible while preventing moisture ingress, thanks to an innovative extrusion process that fills the spaces between wires, eliminating air pockets and moisture accumulation. A talcum powder coating on the internal conductors ensures easy jacket removal during installation, making it a practical choice for marine environments. Pacer's marine wire exceeds UL, ABYC, and NMMA standards, ensuring safety and quality in demanding conditions. This duplex cable is rated for 600 volts, making it suitable for various marine electrical setups. Its flexible, color-coded insulation simplifies wiring and troubleshooting, while the stranded tinned copper conductors enhance durability and corrosion resistance. The cable's resistance to acids, alkalis, abrasion, flame, gasoline, oil, and moisture makes it ideal for harsh marine environments, maintaining performance and safety. Compliant with UL Standard 1426, U.S. Coast Guard regulations (33 CFR part 183), and ABYC E-11.14 standards, this 500-foot length provides ample reach for marine electrical projects, sold as an individual length for versatile installation. Whether for new wiring or repairs, the Pacer 8/2 AWG Duplex Marine Cable offers a robust, flexible, and compliant solution for marine electrical systems.
