Description
Battery Cable Heat Shrink Tubing - 1/4 x 12 - Red (10-Pieces)
BHW is coated internally with a dual-purpose thermoplastic liner which flows and encapsulates when heated. When cooled, the tubing offers the mechanical strength of a superior adhesive and the corrosion protection of a high-quality mastic. Insulation varies with different types of wires, different diameters or tubing may be required. When choosing a size, consider any components or connectors that may need to be covered.
Features:
- Highly abrasion and impact-resistant
- Easy installation, shrinks when heated over 120 C
- The thermoplastic liner will adhere to PVC, neoprene and polyolefin, EPR, steel, and aluminum
- A sturdy, heavy wall tubing with excellent insulating, abrasion-resisting, and strain-relieving properties. The thermoplastic adhesive provides superior environmental protection.
- Any connection in harsh conditions
- Adhesive lining provides a barrier against contaminants
- Excellent resistance to acids and alkalis
- Good resistance to fuel, oil, and solvents
Applications:
- Splice sealing
- Primary insulation
- Cable/jacket repair
- Direct burial/submersible
- Strain relief
Compliances:
- MIL-I-23053/15 Class 2
The Pacer BEHS1/4-12RD-10 heat shrink tubing is designed for high-performance insulation and protection of battery cables and electrical connections. This heavy wall tubing is internally coated with a dual-purpose thermoplastic liner that flows and encapsulates when heated, providing a strong adhesive bond as it cools. It offers excellent mechanical strength, impact resistance, and corrosion protection, making it suitable for demanding environments. The tubing shrinks quickly when heated above 120°C, ensuring easy installation over wires, connectors, and components that require insulation or strain relief. Its adhesive lining acts as a barrier against contaminants such as dirt, moisture, acids, alkalis, fuels, oils, and solvents, enhancing the longevity of electrical connections in harsh conditions.
Features:
- Highly abrasion and impact-resistant for durability in demanding applications
- Easy to install, shrinks when heated over 120°C for quick and secure fitting
- Thermoplastic liner adheres to PVC, neoprene, polyolefin, EPR, steel, and aluminum surfaces
- Sturdy, heavy wall construction with excellent insulating, abrasion-resisting, and strain-relieving properties
- Adhesive lining provides a barrier against environmental contaminants
- Excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, fuel, oil, and solvents for reliable performance
- Suitable for splice sealing, primary insulation, cable/jacket repair, direct burial, and strain relief
- Complies with MIL-I-23053/15 Class 2 standards for quality and reliability
