The Ruger Precision Rimfire 22WMR is a high-performance sporting rifle designed for precision shooting and versatility. Its molded, one-piece chassis and adjustable synthetic buttstock are crafted from glass-filled nylon, providing exceptional strength, stiffness, and stability for consistent accuracy with every shot. The adjustable buttstock features a flat Picatinny bag rider for easy attachment of a rear monopod, while the molded-in window serves as a tether point for a squeeze bag, facilitating various shooting positions. A metal quick-detach pocket allows secure sling attachment, enhancing maneuverability during field or range use.

Quick-Fit adjustable stock enables rapid adjustments to the length of pull and comb height, accommodating shooters of different sizes, outerwear, and shooting styles. Indicating marks on the chassis help users quickly return to previous positions, streamlining the process of fine-tuning fit. The big-gun bolt throw adjustment allows transitioning from a rimfire 1-1/2 inch bolt throw to a short-action centerfire 3-inch bolt throw, minimizing the risk of short-stroking during competition. The Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger is externally adjustable with a pull weight ranging from 2.25 to 5 pounds, and a wrench stored in the buttstock compartment ensures easy access.

The rifle features Ruger’s own AR-pattern pistol grip and safety selector, providing an extended reach for maximum control and easy access to the 45-degree, reversible safety selector. The anodized 0 MOA Picatinny scope base simplifies mounting and zeroing optics. An oversized bolt handle ensures positive bolt manipulation, similar to Ruger’s Precision Rifle. The 15-inch aluminum free-float handguard, hard-coat anodized and equipped with Magpul M-LOK slots on all four sides, offers ample scope clearance for long-range scopes and allows easy mounting of M-LOK-compatible accessories. The target barrel, cold hammer-forged from 1137 alloy steel, ensures ultra-precise rifling for excellent accuracy and can be replaced by a qualified gunsmith using AR-style wrenches and headspace gauges.

The rifle’s 1/2-inch-28 threaded barrel is suitable for standard muzzle accessories, including suppressors, with a factory-installed thread protector covering the threads and crown. It accepts Ruger magnum rimfire magazines, such as the JMX-1 rotary magazine and the BX-15 Magnum magazine, which is included. Weighing approximately 6.8 pounds and measuring about 38.6 inches overall, this rifle offers a balanced combination of portability and stability. Its black synthetic stock and metal finish contribute to durability and corrosion resistance, making it an excellent choice for target shooting, varmint hunting, and precision practice.
