Description
In-Line Fuel Demand Valve
Attwood's exclusive Fuel Demand Valve eliminates engine flooding and spillage by preventing pressurized fuel from reaching the engine. The valve ensures that fuel is supplied to the engine only when demanded during start-up or engine operation. Designed in partnership with OEM engine manufacturers, Attwoods Fuel Demand Valve is compatible with all OEM engine brands.
Features:
- Prevents engine flooding and fuel spillage due to pressurized fuel
- Allows only the amount of fuel requested by the engine and prevents a pressurized "slug" of fuel from reaching the engine
- Made of high-strength composite material designed to withstand the harsh marine environment
- Compatible with 3/8" and 5/16" fuel hose
- Installs between the fuel tank and the primer bulb
- Low vacuum restriction helps ensure proper engine function during startup and engine operation (less than 2kPa at 125 liters/hour)
- Built-in manual override
- Compatible with Ethanol blended fuels
Specifications:
- Operating Temperature: -4 degrees F to 176 degrees F / -20 degrees C to 80 degrees C /
- Storage Temperature: -40 degrees F to 176 degrees F / 40 degrees C to 80 degrees C
- Operating Input Pressure: 138 kPa (20 psi) protected for 276 kPa (40 psi) psi pressure spike
- Flow Performance: 125 L/H (33 GPH) at <2 kPa (10" gasoline)

*Fuel Demand Valve keeps all pressure at the fuel tank when the engine is off
The Attwood Marine In-Line Fuel Demand Valve Part 9300FDV7 offers a reliable solution for preventing engine flooding and fuel spillage in marine applications. Designed with precision and built in collaboration with OEM engine manufacturers, this valve ensures that pressurized fuel is only delivered when the engine demands it during startup or operation. Its innovative design helps maintain optimal fuel flow, reducing the risk of engine flooding caused by excess fuel pressure. Constructed from high-strength composite material, it withstands the harsh conditions of the marine environment, providing durability and long-lasting performance. The valve is compatible with 3/8-inch and 5/16-inch fuel hoses, making installation straightforward between the fuel tank and primer bulb. Its low vacuum restriction feature (less than 2 kPa at 125 liters/hour) ensures proper engine functioning, especially during startup, making it suitable for various marine engine setups. Additionally, the built-in manual override provides added control, and the valve is compatible with ethanol-blended fuels, accommodating modern fuel formulations. The operating temperature range from -4°F to 176°F and storage capabilities from -40°F to 176°F make it versatile for different climatic conditions. Operating at an input pressure of 138 kPa (20 psi), with protection against pressure spikes up to 276 kPa (40 psi), it ensures safe and efficient fuel delivery. The flow rate of 125 liters per hour (33 gallons per hour) ensures consistent fuel supply, supporting optimal engine performance. Overall, the Attwood Fuel Demand Valve enhances engine safety and efficiency by preventing unnecessary fuel flow and pressure build-up, making it an essential component for marine engine systems.
