Description

8/2 AWG Safety Duplex Cable - Flat Cable - Red/Yellow - 100

Duplex Boat Cable is used in low voltage AC applications as well as DC circuits. Pacer manufactures 8 AWG Duplex boat cable in house in the USA for the best quality. First, the cable is built from finely stranded, Type III tinned copper conductors. These conductors allow for flexibility and help to prevent corrosion.

The PVC jacket helps 8 AWG Duplex Boat Cable to be flexible while preventing moisture from accumulating. How does it do that During the extrusion process, the spaces between wires are filled. This leaves no space for moisture or air to accumulate. After that, a talcum powder coating is given to the interior wires. This coating is used to allow the outer jacket to be easily removed. Just another reason 8 AWG Duplex boat cable is perfect for marine use.

Pacers marine wire exceeds the requirements and standards of UL, ABYC, and NMMA.

The Pacer 8/2 AWG Safety Duplex Flat Marine Cable is designed for low voltage AC and DC circuits on boats and marine vessels. Manufactured in the USA, this cable features finely stranded, Type III tinned copper conductors that provide excellent flexibility and corrosion resistance, ensuring reliable performance in harsh marine environments. The durable PVC jacket offers flexibility while preventing moisture buildup, thanks to an extrusion process that fills the spaces between wires, and a talcum powder coating that facilitates easy jacket removal for maintenance or modifications. This construction makes it an ideal choice for marine electrical systems where durability and safety are paramount. Pacer's marine wire exceeds UL, ABYC, and NMMA standards, reflecting its high-quality manufacturing and adherence to industry safety requirements. The cable’s features include extruded insulation with no gaps, highly flexible color-coded insulation for easy identification, and stranded tinned copper conductors rated for 600 volts. It resists acids, alkali, abrasion, flames, gasoline, oil, and moisture, making it suitable for demanding marine conditions. Compliant with UL Standard 1426, U.S. Coast Guard regulations (33 CFR part 183), and ABYC E-11.14, this cable is built to meet rigorous safety and performance standards. The Type III annealed, finely stranded tinned copper conductors are paired with flexible, color-coded PVC insulation rated from -20°C to 105°C, ensuring reliable operation across a wide temperature range.
