Description
GX Tank 140 Tank Monitoring for 4-20 MA, 1-10VDC Sensors - Monitors Up to 4 Sensors *Sensor Not Included
The GX Tank 140 takes readings from up to four tank level sensors. It is an accessory for our range of GX system monitoring products, of which the Cerbo GX is the most commonly used model.
Tank levels can be read out locally in the system, see screenshot, as well remotely through ourVRM Portal.
The GX Tank is compatible with current senders (4 to 20 mA) as well as voltage senders (0 to 10 V). The connection to the GX Device is via USB, which is also how the GX Tank is powered: no additional power wires are required.
Tank sender wiring is kept as simple as possible: two of the four inputs provide a 24 V power supply, to power the sender. The other two channels do require an external power supply, and there is power in the terminal together with fused outputs to facilitate that.
Upper and lower limits are configurable, to allow using senders that provide only part of the scale, for example, 0 to 5 V.
To provide a stable reading, the readings are averaged damping. The damping can be configured between 1 and 60 seconds.
Faulty sensors and wiring issues are detected: an alarm will be raised when values are out of range.
For marine applications, the GX Device can transmit these tank levels on the NMEA 2000 network to be picked up by other displays such as an MFD.

Compatible with both 4-20 mA current senders and 0-10 V voltage sensors, this device facilitates seamless integration with existing tank sensors, enabling accurate level readings without the need for additional power wiring. The connection to the GX device is made via USB, which also powers the unit, simplifying installation and reducing clutter. The device features straightforward wiring options, with two inputs supplying 24 V power for sensors, and the remaining inputs designed to accommodate external power supplies, all protected with fused outputs for safety.
Configurable upper and lower limits allow compatibility with a variety of sensor scales, including partial scales such as 0-5 V. To ensure stable and accurate readings, the GX Tank 140 employs a damping feature with adjustable averaging time between 1 and 60 seconds. It also includes fault detection capabilities, alerting users to issues such as sensor malfunctions or wiring problems, which helps maintain system integrity. For marine applications, the device can transmit tank level data over the NMEA 2000 network, allowing integration with multi-function displays and other marine electronics for comprehensive vessel monitoring.
Designed for versatility and ease of use, the Victron Energy GX Tank 140 ensures precise tank level monitoring in various settings. Whether used in marine, industrial, or other applications, it offers robust features that support reliable operation and remote access to tank data through the VRM Portal. Please note that sensors are not included with this product, and it is recommended to contact your dealer for support, repairs, or returns. Its compact design and straightforward wiring make it an ideal choice for integrating tank level monitoring seamlessly into your existing system setup.
